The frequency that you have your carpets cleaned depends on a number of factors, such as the number of people living in the house, if the carpet is located in a high-traffic area, or if you have pets. The average recommended frequency for carpet cleaning is once a year, but this can be extended to every two years for carpets located in low-traffic areas, such as guest bedrooms.

Although you may be able to save money in the short run, renting or using a consumer grade carpet cleaning machine is not advisable. These machines have low suction and leave your carpets soaking wet and full of soapy residue. Because these machines leave the carpets so wet, stains typically come back and hidden mold problems can arise in the padding of the carpet.

Carpet cleaning prices are determined by the number of rooms, hallways and staircases you have to be cleaned. Rooms are counted as areas up to 200 square feet, rooms larger than this are charged a proportionally higher rate. Individual staircases in split-level houses are charged at a lower rate than those in regular homes. Area rugs are charged by the square foot, and upholstery cleaning prices are determined by the furniture type.

A minimum charge of $99 is in effect for all jobs.

There are a few things you should do before your cleaning technician is scheduled to arrive:

  1. Move any furniture that you want cleaned under. Although we do not move furniture, we will clean around any items that you are unable to move out of the area you are having cleaned. As well, you should move any easily breakable or high-value items out of the areas being cleaned, such as vases or delicate furniture.
  2. Clear the carpet of any toys or debris that cannot be vacuumed. There is no need to vacuum prior to our arrival, as this is included in our service.
  3. Ensure that your cleaning technician will have access to both running water and electrical outlets.
  4. Secure any pets you have in a safe spot, as they may be alarmed by our equipment.
  5. Leave a parking space open that is close to the main door of your house.
  6. Make sure that you will be at your home for the duration of your appointment window, unless prior arrangements have been made.

As professional carpet cleaners, we carry an assortment of tools and spotting agents which are specifically designed for different types of stains. However, depending on the age and the type of the stains present, we may be unsuccessful in removing some. So while we are unable to guarantee complete stain removal, we are confident that if we are unable to remove a stain, it would be unlikely that anyone else would be able to.
